London – Sage Traveling Client Testimonials

London Accessible Travel Packages

My experience was wholly positive and the trip was highly therapeutic and enjoyable for me.  I want to thank you once again for all you have done for me.  Pick up/drop off at airport: Worked like clockwork. Extremely helpful driver was waiting at the barrier at Heathrow. With the assistance of an airport functionary, he escorted me and my luggage to his vehicle and deposited me safely at the hotel. Similiarily, on my return trip, another driver arrived ahead of time and brought my luggage to check-in where the airline took over. Hotel staff: Excellent! All went the extra mile, some a little further. For example, I asked one of the receptionists about access to a local Indian Restaurant in the scooter on the 1st evening. She said she did not think this would be a problem but volunteered to escort me there and help me gain access which I successfully did.

Danielle,

I don’t think I ever wrote to you to thank you for the wonderful trip we had to London, England. We had more needs this time but since Sage travel had allowed us to have a fantastic trip to Paris already, I knew this one would work out well….

I know it’s a year later but I did want you to know that everything turned out wonderfully in London. The hotel you boked, the equipment that was rented, the transportation that was arranged,  was perfect. We were so close to everything that, as per my usual, we walked everywhere. Walking back from The Tower of London to Westminster bridge might have been a bit ambitious but you see so many things then you walk.

As I came to expect after Paris, everything in the guide was accurate and we easily found our way to every appropriate entrance. There was nothing we had to miss and the people were so helpful in getting us up back entrances , etc. Somehow we even managed 10 days in London with no rain (did you arrange that too?)

The train ride to see Stonehenge was perhaps the one thing I was a little worried about but it went so smoothly . What a fantastic and worthwhile experience!

Once we start planning again, I will be in touch but I certainly waned to express my gratitude. I no longer talk about “a trip of a lifetime” but of many trips of a lifetime. Seeing London was a dream come true for Brian and thus for me to see it through his eyes. I thank you once again for making that possible. As Brain’s needs increase, I know people think we are quite crazy to attempt these trips but the joy they bring and the memories they create are all worth it. Thank you and I look forward to planning another trip of a lifetime with you in the future!

I wanted to check in and let you know that we had a marvelous trip to London. We didn’t think it was possible for it to be better than the one Sage helped us with last year, but it really was. Everything was perfect. We loved the hotel, the location, the staff and especially the accessibility. The trip to Bath with David was just great, the drive up with stops at Lacock and Avebury Henge was as enjoyable as Bath itself. Our guided tour of Hampton Court was also wonderful. It is also so reassuring to know someone is always there to pick you up an drop us off at the airport. Thanks again for all of your help. We will definitely use Sage for every trip in the future!

Anyone contemplating a European vacation – contact Sage Travel immediately.  I recently traveled to London and Paris.  I move around on four wheels instead of two legs and experience has taught me planning is the key to going anywhere. I contacted Sage travel to help me plan my perfect vacation. Information on everything from hotels to city tours and all local transportation was sent to me.  Together we picked out the best options to satisfy my needs.  Once everything was decided, they put our plans into action and got confirmations. After we arrived I found everything perfect. The hotels, the tours and transfers delivered exactly what had been presented to me. Best of all I didn’t waste a second of my time because of wheelchair considerations – Sage Travel took all the worry away! The trip they planned for me was undoubtedly the best vacation of my life.

London Accessible Tours

Well, we’re back home again, having arrived Monday evening. Both of the lengthy flights from Atlanta to London and back were quite difficult for me with my post-polio and extensive arthritis problems. But once in London we had a wonderful time savoring every moment of every day. Oddly enough, one of our favorite things was going to Embankment Park & St. James Park for a portion of most every day. They were just a block or so from our hotel and delightful settings to sit and read a book or just people-watching. Our guide was great and incredibly knowledgeable of London and the many historical sites we visited. We loved Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace and gardens and the list goes on and on. We had lunch one day at the Café in the Crypt at St. Martin in the Fields. It was a bit eerie having lunch while sitting over all the dead people buried below! We did do a boat ride on the Thames before leaving in addition to shopping at Selfridges on Oxford St. and Fortnum & Mason on Piccadilly where we picked up several tins of tea to bring back home. And, of course, afternoon tea was a must for at least one day, which we enjoyed at our hotel. We took many pictures, over 200 in fact, which I’ve just begun editing. We’ll send you a link to them to view as an album when ready. Thanks to you & John & Graham and all who made this a most enjoyable reality for us! Sincerely,

I booked a London city tour and could not have been any happier. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out many historical facts that otherwise would have gone unknown. He was friendly and took the time to allow us to get out when we wanted and was well informed as to the required accessibility needed. Also impressive to me was the attention to detail I received from the Sage Travel agent Desiree van Es. She made sure the proper type of vehicle was confirmed that would fit the size of my wheelchair and arranged our pick up and drop off locations with no confusion…I aappreciate a company such as Sage Traveling, and find your dedication to travel for the disabled commendable. I look forward to working with you in the future and sharing my travel stories with you too.
