INVERNESS
Tourist Information Office: http://www.inverness-scotland.com/
Map: http://www.inverness-scotland.com/map-inverness.asp

Inverness is the largest city in northern Scotland and is a good place to stay while exploring Loch Ness and Isle of Skye.

Getting There
http://www.scotland-inverness.co.uk/inverness-transport.htm - good travel info, nothing on accessibility

Airport
The airport is called the Dalcross International Airport and is described as wheelchair accessible here:

Train
The Inverness train station is a terminus-style train station that does not require any tunnels, stairs, or elevators to get to the platforms

Getting Around
The historical center of Inverness is relatively small and flat and can be mainly covered without the use of an automobile or taxi.

Bus
I’m not sure if there are busses within the city.

Train
There is only 1 train stop in Stirling

Tram
There is no tram system

Subway (Metro)
There is no subway.

Taxis
Taxis are available at the train station. They are the black cab accessible type????

Hotels
Royal Highland Hotel – This hotel is actually in the train station. When you walk out the front door of the train station, the entrance to the hotel is on the left. The wheelchair designed room has plenty of room, a 36” door to bathroom, and overlooks the trains (which actually are not loud at all).
