Central Barcelona Accessible Hotel

This beautifully renovated boutique style accessible Barcelona hotel is located right in the heart of city. With only 200 meters to Barcelona Catheral and 300 meters from the Picasso Museum, location doesn’t get much better than this! This Central Barcelona Accessible Hotel offers beautiful accessible common areas and  bright, stylish accessible rooms with roll-in showers and grab bars.

The disabled rooms in the hotel are small but completely updated and offer free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, iPhone docks and desks, as well as mini fridges and Nespresso machines. The bathrooms come with a roll-in shower with grab bars, a vanity with space to fit wheelchair underneath, grab bars by the toilet and a portable shower chair is  also available upon request.

A great feature of this accessible Barcelona hotel is the bus stop right in front of the hotel. Three bus routes run down Las Ramblas, #s 14, 59, and 91, and all buses in Barcelona are accessible, so you’ll easily be able to reach the popular accessible sites of the city like Sagrada Familia, the accessible Barcelona beach promenade, Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, and many more.

The surrounding Gothic Quarter neighborhood is mostly flat, with very few cobblestones, and you can roll or stroll all the way down to the sea, checking out some great accessible shops and cafes, while people watching on one of Barcelona’s most popular streets.

Accessibility Details

This Central Barcelona Accessible Hotel received a 4 star Sage Accessibility Rating because it has a step-free entrance, motion activated doors, wide elevators, and roll-in showers in the accessible rooms. It did not receive a higher rating because there is not a lot of space in the room and the roll-in shower, and there are stairs leading to the rooftop terrace.

The accessible rooms have a simple, stylish layout but are on the smaller side. The room comes with one large bed and there is space on the one side of the bed for your equipment (side depending on which room you are in).

The bathrooms in the disabled rooms are fully accessible with grab bars located by the toilet and in the roll in shower. A portable shower chair is available upon request.

The entrance to the building is flat with automatic doors. The area outside this accessible Barcelona hotel on Las Ramblas is smooth and step-free.
