Highlights of Split Accessible Shore Excursion

Highlights of Split Accessible Shore ExcursionGet ready for an experience you won’t soon forget on this 4 hour accessible Split shore excursion! See Diocletian’s Palace and Split’s historic city center before relaxing on a beautiful, accessible Adriatic beach. This tour includes walking/rolling as well as accessible transfers.

Start your day at the Split cruise dock where your friendly tour guide will meet you. From here you will begin your accessible walking/rolling tour portion of your tour to the heart of the city. Get ready to experience the impressive Diocletian’s Palace, the “retirement home” built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian between the late 3rd and early 4th centuries AD.  This massive, sprawling complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the most impressive ancient Roman ruins you’ll find on this side of the Adriatic. Continue along a step-free route through both the underground and above ground palace ruins where you’ll learn about ancient life in the city, the later years of Emperor Diocletian, and how he was the only Roman Emperor to ever voluntarily remove himself from power.

Your accessible shore excursion of Split doesn’t end there, though! After exploring Diocletian’s Palace and the historic old town of Split, you will take a wheelchair accessible van to a beautiful wheelchair accessible Adriatic beach where you can relax until it’s time to go back to your cruise ship!

The Highlights of Split Accessible Shore Excursion features:

  • Convenient accessible tour routes confirmed to be wheelchair accessible (no steps or curbs)
  • 4 hour walking/rolling tour + accessible transfers
  • Lively commentary by an officially-certified, English-speaking tour guide
  • Memorable sightseeing and great photo opportunities in Split!

A shorter, more affordable tour is our 2 hour Private Accessible Split Walking Tour, which does not require transportation. A similar 4 hour tour that visits the city of Trogir instead of an accessible beach is the Essential Split Accessible Cruise Excursion.
