Wheelchair Accessibility on Overseas Flights

Hello fellow European travelers! For many of our disabled clients visiting Europe, one of the first questions that they have surrounds the long flight from North America, Australia, South Africa, etc… to Europe. With a 10+ hour flight, they wonder…
- “How will I get to my seat on the plane?”
- “What if there are stairs to get onto the plane?”
- “How will I get to the bathroom on the plane?”
- “Is the plane bathroom easy for me to maneuver in?”
I use a wheelchair full-time and I’ve flown on numerous long flights so I can assure you that it’s entirely doable! The flight staff will use a narrow wheelchair they call an “aisle chair” to bring you to your seat while boarding.
