Accessible Hotels in Europe

John Sage and our Accessible Expert Travel Consultants have personally inspected and researched accessibility of numerous European hotels and their surrounding neighborhoods.  You’ll be able to travel worry-free, knowing that your hotel accommodation meets your accessibility needs.

Don’t take any chances on your accessible accommodation – your entire accessible holiday depends on it! Search engines are notoriously known for labeling hotels as accessible when they’re really not. We guarantee that your hotel is accessible and we have detailed descriptions and photos to prove it!

View John Sage’s description of hotel challenges:

Accessible Hotels in Europe – It can be quite challenging to find out exactly how accessible a hotel is. Some, but not all, hotel search websites have check boxes for “accessible rooms”, but this can mean anything from completely step-free with roll-in shower to having to 2 steps to navigate before you get to the elevator and a bathroom door too narrow for a wheelchair. This can make it difficult to find accessible hotels in Europe.

Additionally, if you go directly to the hotel’s website you may or may not find any information on accessibility. If you send the hotel an email asking Europe accessible hotel questions, you might not get a timely response or you might not get a response at all. If you call to ask questions about accessibility, the person at the reception desk may not know the width of the bathroom door, the placement of grab bars near the toilet, or whether or not a wheelchair can fit beside the bed. Additionally, the person you are speaking to may not know English well and may be completely unfamiliar with accessibility terms like “grab bars”, “door knob”, “motion-activated door”, etc… In short, finding accurate Europe wheelchair accessible hotel information is not very easy!

Sage Traveling has researched accessible hotels in various European cities and provides detailed accessibility descriptions and pictures. The information provided covers all of the accessibility details that a slow-walker or wheelchair user will need. We provide you with a selection of accessible hotels to choose from so you stay at the perfect hotel for you.

Our accessible hotel recommendations are far more reliable than hotel search engine websites Booking.com, Orbitz.com, Expedia.com, Hotels.com, and Travelocity.com which only provide a few accessibility checkboxes.  These accessibility details are provided by the hotel staff, and I have found that at least half the accessibility features listed for European hotels are incorrect.
