Venetian Empire Wheelchair Accessible Shore Excursion

Our Most Popular Shore Excursion!

Full day or half day in St. Mark’s neighborhood with wheelchair accessible guided tour

Nearly all first-time visitors to Venice have a short list of must-see activities while in Venice: visit the magnificent St. Mark’s Square, view the overhead mosaics in St. Mark’s Basilica, and experience the history captured in the Doge’s Palace. This Venice shore excursion for the disabled satisfies all those interests.  A private wheelchair accessible water taxi will meet you at the cruise dock to comfortably bring you directly to St. Mark’s Square. You’ll spend the morning exploring St. Mark’s neighborhood using the Venice Accessibility Guide by Sage Traveling, and then take a 2.5 hour private tour of St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace in the afternoon. A wheelchair accessible water taxi will transport you back to the cruise dock at the end of your Venetian Empire wheelchair accessible shore excursion. What a great way to visit Venice in a wheelchair!

Majestic Venice Wheelchair Shore Excursion

Half day in St. Mark’s neighborhood + Grand Canal accessible boat tour

Imagine leisurely gliding down the Grand Canal with a private guide explaining all the sights along the way. What an experience!

The Majestic Venice Wheelchair Shore Excursion will start with a private wheelchair accessible van picking you up at the cruise dock and bringing you to a meetup point by the accessible water taxi. Your tour guide will meet you here and join you on the water taxi as you head out on a 1-hour Grand Canal tour! The Grand Canal tour will allow you to see many fascinating sights in a short period of time, without having to worry about accessibility and getting around.  Escorted by your guide, you’ll then continue your morning visiting St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace, two of the very best highlights of the city. Your guide is experienced in touring with elderly and disabled visitors, and will lead you using wheelchair friendly routes.

Upon completion of your memorable Venice tour, you will be escorted back to the cruise ship.

Venice San Marco Accessible Shore Excursion

Venice San Marco neighborhood at your own pace

If you’re on a tight budget, this Venice cruise excursion for the disabled may be right up your alley. You will save money because you won’t be paying for a tour guide or numerous water taxi transfers. The Venice San Marco Accessible Shore Excursion includes wheelchair accessible water taxi transportation in between the cruise docks and St. Mark’s neighborhood. You’ll be able to explore the beautiful St. Mark’s Basilica, St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, and Correr Museum at your own pace. The Venice Accessibility Guide by Sage Traveling provides you with the accessible routes around the neighborhood as well as accessibility reviews of the various tourist attractions, shops, and restaurants.

Taste of Venice Handicapped Cruise Excursion

John Sage’s Top Recommendation!

Both sides of Venice: Popular tourist Venice & Venetian daily life

This Venice disabled tour allows you to visit both sides of Venice: the popular and magnificent tourist attractions in St. Mark’s neighborhood & the intimate and charming neighborhoods where Venetians live their daily life. The Taste of Venice Handicapped Cruise Excursion begins with a wheelchair accessible water taxi transfer to the Rialto Mercato neighborhood where you can see the morning fish market and the fruit market. You can visit the shops in the intimate back streets before having lunch along the Grand Canal in the shadows of the Rialto Bridge.  A wheelchair accessible water taxi will pick you up and transport you to St. Mark’s Square for your 2.5 hour guided tour of St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.  You’ll have a few remaining hours to explore St. Mark’s neighborhood using the Venice Accessibility Guide by Sage Traveling before taking a wheelchair accessible water taxi back to your cruise ship. You’ll leave Venice with incredible memories and photos!

Supreme Venice Disabled Shore Excursion

3 unique neighborhoods: Popular tourist Venice + Venetian daily life + Charming scenic Venice

Experienced travelers know that there’s a difference between being in Venice and truly experiencing Venice. The Supreme Venice Disabled Cruise Excursion allows you to truly experience Venice.  You’ll visit three uniquely different neighborhoods in a single day: 1) the Rialto Mercato neighborhood with the Fish Market, Fruit Market, and views of the Rialto Bridge, 2) the charming Ca d’Oro neighborhood with small back-street restaurants and wine bars where the locals gather, and 3) the popular St. Mark’s neighborhood with the iconic St. Mark’s Basilica, the fascinating Doge’s Palace, and the sprawling St. Mark’s Square. You’ll move comfortably and quickly between the three neighborhoods using wheelchair accessible water taxis, and the Venice Accessibility Guide by Sage Traveling will help you navigate around the bridges and canals so you don’t waste one minute of your precious time in Venice.

Hi John,

I just wanted to email to let you know about yesterday in Venice. We had a FANTASTIC time and Nicoletta, our guide, was really lovely and the Water Taxi was excellent. Everything about the plans we made with you worked like clockwork and the information you supplied was really helpful.

Thanks for your help in making our time in Venice so enjoyable. Everyone on the ship is most surprised to hear that someone in a wheelchair had a ‘good’ time in Venice as they all felt that the stairs/bridges would have made it terribly frustrating for us and we would have come back disappointed but not so, we came back feeling like we’d had the best time possible.

Michael LOVED the Doge’s Palace. His only disappointment was that he couldn’t take photo of the interior rooms as he was fascinated by the grandeur of it all.

Anyway, John, thanks again for a perfect plan and for ensuring that it all came together for us – we really appreciate what you did for us.

Take care,
Michael & Diane
