Wheelchair Accessible Hotel in Venice San Marco
Of all the disabled hotels in Venice, this hotel has the most convenient location for disabled travelers. It is located next to the main San Marco vaparetto stop, and the San Marco Basilica and the Doge’s Palace can be reached from this hotel without having to go up or down steps. Another wheelchair accessible hotel in Venice San Marco also has no steps or bridges to reach these attractions.
The hotel restaurant (shown in the picture on the right) overlooks the Grand Canal and is a great place to have breakfast, dinner, or a relaxing drink after a great day visiting Venice. The hotel has a 4 star hotel classification.
This Venice Accessible Hotel is located just next to the San Marco Vallaresso vaparetto stop where the #1 and #2 lines can take you directly to the Santa Lucia train station, cruise docks, and Piazzale Rome parking area. Nearly everyone gets off this vaparetto boat stop causing the boat to float higher in the water at the same level as the boat dock, so electric wheelchair users and mobility scooter users should have little problem getting here.
The hotel has 3 disabled rooms with roll-in showers and grab bars next to the toilet. The bedrooms are some of the largest disabled hotel rooms in Venice.
The disabled bathroom has a roll-in shower in the far corner. A stool is available for disabled guests to sit on and is shown in the photo on the right. In the right corner of the bathroom, the toilet has a grab bar next to it. The sink is located on the near right and has enough room for a wheelchair user’s knees.
We gave this Wheelchair Accessible Hotel in Venice San Marco a 4 Star Sage accessibility rating because it has a step-free entrance, an accessible breakfast area, and roll-in showers. It didn’t get a 5 star rating because the roll-in shower has a stool to sit on rather than a chair attached to the wall.
