It continued to house royal figures for many more years. It now serves as a museum. There are exhibitions of its original art collection and furnishings, as well as ones with ancient Milan and Egyptianartifacts.

Next, your tour continues to the church of San Maurizio al Monastero Maggiore, also known as the Sistine Chapel of Milan (compared to the real Sistine Chapel in Rome). As soon as you enter the doors, it is easy to see where this nickname comes from. The entire interior of the beautiful church is completely decorated with artwork. Construction of the church began in 1503, and it was constructed using several walls and ruins that date back to the ancient Roman times!

Following your visit to the church, you will head out on an enjoyable stroll that will take you to the square of Duomo of Milan. Along the way, your tour guide will share fascinating facts about Milan with you. Your tour ends here but you can continue your day by enjoying a delicious lunch at a nearby restaurant or by visiting the Cathedral on your own if you desire.
