Frequently Asked Questions
My plans have changed. What is the Cancellation Policy? If you want to cancel your entire trip or any booking or segment of your trip, you are subject to our Trip Cancellation Policy. The Trip Cancellation Policy is 70% with 30 days notice, 50% with 20 days notice and there is no refund for cancelling the trip with less than 20 days notice. If you have only booked individual tours and transfers and you want to cancel them, you are subject to our Tour and Transfer Cancellation Policy. The Tour and Transfer Cancellation policy is 75% refund with at least 21 days notice, 50% refund with at least 14 days notice, and no refund with less than 14 days notice. Tours run rain or shine.
MEET-UP AND TIMING
What should I do if I am having difficulties meeting up with the tour guide or driver? You should call the local phone number(s) provided above. That is the quickest way to resolve the situation. Calling us before calling the local phone number may result in delays.
How can I avoid meet-up problems with my driver and/or tour guide? You should carry a working mobile phone with you during your trip. If you don’t have one that will work in your destination country, you should speak to your mobile phone company to add an international plan or rent one through www.wirelesstraveler.com or www.travelcell.com.
The cruise ship staff did not allow me to board the cruise tender? Can I get a refund? Before your trip, you or your travel agent should find out the requirements for disabled cruise passengers to board tenders on that specific ship in that specific port. No refunds are given if you are not allowed to go ashore. We can check these requirements for you only if you add our travel agency name to your cruise reservation.
My flight or train was late. Will the driver wait for me? The drivers usually wait for a while, but may need to leave to handle another client and return later. If your flight or train is late, you will usually need to pay an extra fee for waiting time which should be paid in cash to the driver.
I couldn’t find my driver so I took a taxi. Can I get a refund? You should not leave your designated meet-up location without calling your driver to see where they are parked. If you leave your pick-up destination in another vehicle, you will not receive a refund.
If I start my tour late or end my tour early, will I receive a partial refund? No partial refunds will be given for tours that you choose to shorten.
I’m having a great time! Will I be able to extend my tour past the scheduled end time? This decision will be up to the tour guide and/or driver. If the tour guide and/or driver agrees, you will need to pay them cash on the spot for their additional time.
Can the tour guide push my wheelchair? Most insurance companies forbid the tour guides from pushing wheelchairs. If you need someone to push your wheelchair, you should request this at the time you are making the reservation so that we can hire someone to do it.
I have booked a group tour. What if I can not keep up with the group? If you have selected a group tour (where you join people you don’t know), you must be able to keep up with the rest of the participants even if there are cobblestones and hills. If you think you might not be able to keep up with people walking at a comfortable speed, we strongly recommend that you choose a private tour instead of a group tour. This will allow you to move at a pace that is comfortable to you. If you can not keep up with the group, the tour guide will have to leave you behind and there will be no refund.
Will a wheelchair or mobility scooter be provided for my tour? Loaner wheelchairs and mobility scooters are usually not available during the tour. If you think you might need one, let us know
Will I encounter any accessibility challenges on the tour route? We make an effort to choose the most accessible route that still allows you to see the major sights. Nevertheless, these tour routes still may present some challenges for some tour participants including cobblestones, hills, curbs, and broken elevators. Refer to our website for accessibility details about the specific tour.
Will the tour itinerary exactly match what is described on the website? We try to make every effort to match what is described on the website, but in some cases this is not possible. Construction, traffic, public transportation strikes, taxi strikes, national holidays, and major events are a few of the reasons that an itinerary might be modified.
Will I receive a refund if the tour itinerary does not match what is described on the website? No refunds will be given for modified itineraries. Please communicate with your tour guide what your interests are, and a suitable alternative may be available.
Are entrance tickets included in the tour price? Entrance tickets are sometimes included and sometimes not included. You can check the description of your specific tour on www.sagetraveling.com to determine if you will need to bring cash to pay for entrance fees.
Does a disabled person and/or their companion receive free admission to the tourist attractions? Free admission usually depends on who is working that day. We are unable to tell you if you definitely will or definitely won’t receive free admission. In order to increase your chances of getting free admission, you should bring your Disability ID Card (if you live in the EU), your disabled parking placard, and/or a letter from your doctor stating your percentage of disability.
What happens if I need to cancel last minute or I have a medical emergency on my trip? As mentioned in our cancellation policy above, there is no refund for cancellations with less than 7 days notice. We encourage travelers to purchase Travel Insurance which covers trip/tour cancellations as well medical emergencies you may have on your trip. We would be happy to recommend a reputable travel insurance company…just ask us!
I have very specific features that I need in my rental equipment. Does your equipment have these features? If you have specific features that you need (left hand vs right hand controls, size of wheels, basket on front, light weight, heavy duty, specific model type, etc…), we recommend that you bring equipment from home. If equipment is delivered that is missing features that you need, we may not be able to rectify the situation.
How can I pay? You can pay by personal check, cashiers check, wire transfer, or credit card. Please note, in addition to your trip proposal cost, a processing and banking fee of 3% will be charged if final payment is made with credit card. When you book a full trip with Sage Traveling, a trip planning fee is charged. This fee varies based on the complexity of the trip and is included in your estimated proposal cost.
What if the tour guide / driver does a poor job? Please let us know as soon as you can. We strive to only work with the very best guides and drivers. We screen them all before we hire them, and we incorporate feedback on a continual basis to ensure that they are adhering to our high standards.
I had a great time! How can I thank you? Many people are hesitant to book with an online business, so we love client testimonials! Please email us telling us what you liked about our service along with a photo of your group in the destination. We will add it to our testimonials section (without your last name) which will help us provide great experiences to more disabled travelers!

1.1 This website (“the Site”) is owned and operated by Sage Traveling (“we, us, our”). By using this Site, you agree to these terms and conditions of use (“these Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use this Site.
1.2 We reserve the right to alter, suspend or discontinue any aspect of this Site or the content or services available through it. Any new features on this Site shall be subject to the Terms.

2. Ownership and Permitted Use
2.1 All content, text, graphics, messages, code, software and all other materials contained on this Site (“the Materials”) are owned by us or our licensors, and all proprietary and intellectual property rights (including copyright, database rights, names, logos and trade marks (including our trademark “Sage Traveling”)) wherever arising on or in the Materials or this Site vest in us (or our licensors) and all rights in such are reserved.
2.2 All Materials are presented solely for your personal and non-commercial use. You are permitted to print one copy of reasonable extracts of Materials for your personal and non-commercial use and to save one copy of such reasonable extracts to your local hard disk for such purpose. You are also permitted to create a transcript of Materials into Braille, for your personal and non-commercial use.
2.3 You may not modify, copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit or distribute, by any means or in any manner, any of the Materials except for your own personal and non-commercial use.
2.4 You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes, and in a manner which does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit the use and enjoyment of this Site by any third party. Accordingly, we do not accept any responsibility or liability for the materials on such websites. Links to other sites are not to be taken as an endorsement of such other sites or as a warranty that they will be accurate, error and virus free and free of other harmful components and we do not accept any responsibility for such matters in relation to such other sites. You should make your own enquiries in relation to any product or service from a third party supplier to ensure that it meets your individual requirements. You should also be aware that other sites may independently send you cookies and/or collect data and information.
4.2 Where information, comments, remarks, pictures or graphics are placed in any sections of this Site are deemed by us, in our sole discretion, to be offensive, slanderous, libellous or an affront to normal standards of decency they may be removed by us. If any such entry remains on view unwittingly or without our knowledge, the extent of our obligations is to remove the offending item, which will be deemed as responsible action by anyone using or monitoring this Site.

Personal identification information
We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, subscribe to the newsletter, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site.
