When staying here, you will be a short 5 minutes’ ferry ride from the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum and a 3-minute stroll from the Truman Whitehouse and Smathers Beach. The cottage style resort is ADA compliant with paved and flat access to navigate the common grounds as well as cottages with full disabled access. The resort also features a fully accessible bar and restaurant and onsite.
At this accessible Key West resort offers privacy with guests staying in small cottages. Paved paths have been made available to navigate the island, with routes to the onsite bar, pool, spa, patio and restaurant areas. The entrance to the room is paved but does have a small 1 cm lip to enter. The Resort is accessible by a 24-hour Margaritaville Key West Resort Ferry. The Ferry can be accessed via a ramp.
This wheelchair friendly Key West waterfront resort offers a modern setting with lots of privacy. The resort has 2 accessible cottages available, one 3 bedroom and one 2 bedroom), all surrounded by water and beach. They are both located on level 1 and easy to access without navigating any steps or stairs. The accessible cottages feature a flat-screen TV and DVD player, hairdryer and ironing facilities. You will also find free WiFi. The disabled bathrooms offer a barrier-free roll-in showers with grab bars and a handheld showerhead. Grab bars are also located by the toilet which is 16 inches tall to the seat. A portable shower chair can be provided upon request.
This accessible resort is close to Downtown Key west is located only 3 miles from Key West Airport. While you’ll enjoy the secluded setting on a small private island, you’ll still be just a short ferry ride from several highlights including the Key West Aquarium (0.1 mile), Key West Shipwreck Treasure Museum (0.1 mile), Mallory Square (0.2 miles) and Harry S Truman Little White House (0.2 miles). You’ll have several restaurants, shopping, and entertainment options right at your fingertips in Downtown Key West.

This Hotel received a 3-star Sage Accessibility rating because it is ADA compliant and offers great features for disabled guests. The resort is equipped with lifts, ramps and wide doors to make navigating it easy for guests in mobility equipment. It did not receive a higher rating because in order to access the private island where the resort is located, guests must take a small ferry. The ferry has a portable ramp to enter. It is narrow and may not work for larger equipment types.
The accessible disabled rooms at this hotel comes with a comfortable King bed with space for a wheelchair on either side of the bed. The flooring is flat, smooth tile.
The accessible bathrooms come with a roll-in shower with grab bars and a handheld showerhead. Grab bars are also located by the toilet. A portable shower chair is available upon request.
The path to the room is flat. There is a small lip into the room.
To enter the ferry to the private island where this Key West hotel is located, equipment users must use a ramp.
The boat will dock at a wooden pier that is flat.
