Accessibility Details

The Wheelchair Accessible Whale Watching Tour in Juneau has a 3 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because the tour does not require any walking or long distances to navigate. It did not receive a higher rating due to the fact that in order to enter the whale watching boat, wheelchair users will have to use a rather steep ramp to enter. You may need some assistance to navigate it. Inside the boat, you will be able to stay in your wheelchair as the pathways are wide (see photo on the right below). The wheelchair user must be able to transfer to a standard sedan.

*Please note we will need to know which dock you are arriving at before booking. If you are arriving at AJ Dock, you will need a taxi to take you to the primary cruise dock.

The whale watching boat has an accessible restroom onboard (photo below on the left) as well as a designated viewing area for wheelchair users to sit right by the windows where one can easily watch the wildlife without worrying about people blocking the view (see photo on the right below)

On this tour you will enjoy incredible, up close views of Alaskan wildlife and beautiful mountains. These are not stock photos! These are actual photos taken by a wheelchair user on this boat tour.
