City of London Wheelchair Hotel

City of london 12This inexpensive City of London wheelchair hotel is an affordable accessible hotel option located in the South Bank – Waterloo area. Only 500 meters from Tate Modern and the Globe Theatre, this cheery and modern hotel is a favorite among business travelers because of its ideal location to central London.

Less than a mile away, disabled guests can tour the famous London Bridge or the Shard as well as any of London’s most popular tourist attractions.

This City of London wheelchair hotel has 8 accessible rooms with roll-in showers. Hotel staff can assist in the needs of disabled guests by bringing portable chairs in the room based on your preference. The automated entrance and wide, smooth floors throughout make this a good choice for your accessible trip accommodations.

Although it is technically only a 2 star hotel, this hotel was cleaner and more modern than other 3 star London wheelchair hotels that I visited.  It is much cheaper than other nearby City of London wheelchair accessible hotels.

This London accessible hotel features:

  • 8 accessible roll-in shower rooms with portable shower chair

This hotel received a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating.  It did not receive a higher rating because I have not personally inspected the portable chair for the roll-in shower.

The smaller rooms in this accessible hotel allow for the more affordable cost. There is a desk and chairs on the left side of the room by the window. The double bed has room on the left side and the foot of the bed for a wheelchair to fit.
