These old walls were originally erected to prevent the city from attacks from the enemy from the sea into the city. Your first stop of the day will be the incredible Roman Theatre Museum. Escorted by your tour guide, you’ll enjoy an interior visit here with opportunities to admire historic collections of emblematic pieces found in the excavations. You will also see the impressive Roman Theatre, one of the largest in Roman Hispania. It had a capacity of over 7,000 people!
Next, your tour guide will lead you along the main shopping street in Cartagena, Calle Mayor. This area is peppered with local restaurants, cafes, shops and historic buildings. You’ll have time to grab a snack or buy a few souvenirs if you desire, before ending up at the popular square, Plaza del Ayuntamiento. Here, you will admire the beautiful setting including the eclectic Town Hall Building.
Your last stop of the day will the historic Naval Museum of Cartagena. The Museum building is a former prison but now stands as a testimony to the Naval history of the city. It houses interesting exhibitions related to naval construction, including the incredible Peral’s Submarine, assembled in 1885!

At the Roman Forum Museum, your guide will lead you using accessible routes. Flat paths are available to see the Roman Theater and several exhibitions are located in wheelchair accessible areas. Some gravel or uneven ground is present in a few places.

The naval museum has a small incline to the entrance with some unven surfaces. The doors are wide and automatic. The area outside by the submarine is flat and smooth.
