Jerusalem and Jewish Quarter Accessible Shore Excursion
This 8 hour accessible shore excursion of Jerusalem and the Jewish Quarter includes visits to the Mount of Olives, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and more!
Your guide and driver will pick you up from the cruise terminal in Ashdod in a wheelchair accessible van to begin your Jerusalem accessible shore excursion. Visit Jerusalem’s Old City and the Jewish Quarter, including the Burnt House that dates back to 70 CE, Hurva Square, and the Herodian Quarter.
Walk/roll down the Cardo, an ancient street dating back to Roman times, beginning at Damascus Gate and ending at Zion Gate. You will break for lunch at an accessible restaurant in Jerusalem, but save room for the Arab Market where you will sample homemade hummus and falafel! You will also be able to visit the many colorful vendors and open-air shops in the market.
Next travel to the Mount of Olives just outside Old City Jerusalem. The Mount of Olives gets its name from the groves of olives that once covered the mountain ridge. Afterwards, walk down Via Dolorosa (Way of Suffering), believed to be the path Jesus walked down when he carried the cross to his crucifixion. At the end of the path you will reach the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Here is believed to be the site of Jesus’ crucifixion and burial.
