Panoramic Bari Accessible Driving Tour

Panoramic Bari Accessible Driving TourSee Bari and three other villages!

This 8 hour panoramic accessible driving tour from Bari visits the historic Old Town of the city, as well as three nearby villages!

Your guide will meet you at the cruise terminal to begin your accessible guided walking tour of Old Town Bari, before taking a scenic drive to the nearby villages of Alberobello, Ostuni and Polignano a Mare.

The quaint Bari Old Town may by small (about a kilometer across!), but what it lacks in size it makes up for in historical sites! You’ll visit three amazing 11th and 12th century buildings on your Bari accessible driving tour—the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, the Cathedral of San Sabino (Bari Cathedral), and the Swabian Castello Svevo.

After visiting the churches and castle, your guide will take you just outside the old town to the nearby pedestrian shopping street Via Sparano. Spend some time browsing or picking up souvenirs or local snacks before heading to the nearby village of Alberobello, a UNESCO World Heritage Site! The main attraction in Alberobello are the unique, 14th century cone-shaped stone houses called trulli. Your guide will tell you more about these tiny “huts” that line the streets in rows.

The second of three coastal villages included in your accessible Bari driving tour is Ostuni, a picturesque city on a hill. You’ll stop here just for a short while to see the Ostuni Cathedral, a really fantastic 15th century cathedral you won’t want to miss.

The final stop on your Bari accessible driving tour is the fishing village of Polignano a Mare, which sits on the Adriatic cliffs! Enjoy the amazing views of this scenic town, the same views that inspired Polignano a Mare native DominicoModugno to write the song “Volare” (made popular by Dean Martin).

After a full day of visiting quaint Italian villages, your guide and driver will take you back to the cruise terminal in Bari!
