This wheelchair friendly tour begins when you are greeted by our friendly driver/guide near the cruise port. From here, you will head out on a scenic drive, admiring the lush landscape and breathtaking views. There will also be time to stop and capture photos from a panoramic viewpoint. .

Your first stop of the day will be in Marigot, the French capital city of the island. Here, your tour guide will share interesting facts and history with you about the French heritage here, and you will visit the city center market square peppered with little shops selling local spices and artifacts. Next, your tour will continue back to Phillipsburg, which is the Dutch capital city. Enjoy a short walking/rolling tour in the city center, peppered with small exhibits and shopping opportunities. You will also have time to stroll along the boardwalk and enjoy a delicious waterfront lunch on your own (cost not included). .

Accessibility Description

The The Two Cultures of St. Maarten Accessible Shore Excursion has a 4-star accessibility rating. The route has been customized to make sure it is entirely step-free, and your knowledgeable tour guide is familiar with accessibility in each location. An accessible van equipped with a lift will be used between the different venues and accessible restrooms are also available along the route. Some uneven ground is present in the shopping area in Marigot but there is ramped access and curb cuts to enter.

The accessible vans in St. Maarten are equipped with a lift for easy access.

In Marigot, you will see that disabled access is available via designated spaces right by the city square, as well as as curb cuts and ramps..

During your accessible walking tour in Phillipsburg, your tour guide will lead you using accessible tour routes that have curb cuts and ramped access when needed.

The Boardwalk area is completely flat and smooth and offers several accessible restaurant options right by the water.
