This wheelchair accessible Florence hotel for families received a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating. It didn’t receive 5 stars because the hotel staff have to be notified to bring out a steep portable ramp at the building entrance.
The standard rooms are accessible and so are the deluxe rooms. The deluxe room (shown in the photo below) has 2 single beds next to each other. There is room on both sides of the bed for a wheelchair to fit. There is a beautiful wooden table and chair set near the foot of the bed.
The picture on the left is taken from near the bed. The left doorway leads to a small room with a single bed. The right doorway leads to the wheelchair accessible hotel bathroom.
The accessible bathroom toilet doesn’t have grab bars near it but the roll-in shower has a grab bar inside and handheld showerhead. The sink has plenty of room underneath for a wheelchair users knees to fit.
If you press the button at the entrance to the hotel, a staff member will bring out a portable ramp to get into the building. It’s pretty steep but I was able to get up it without assistance.
The hotel lobby has smooth floors for a wheelchair user to maneuver around easily. The elevator is wide enough for a wheelchair to fit inside.
This Florence wheelchair accessible hotel for families is located on a narrow, charming street in the center of Florence. Accessible dining options are available in multiple directions.
