Half Day Athens Accessible Driving Tour

This 5 hour Athens accessible cruise excursion has some of the least amount of walking of all of our accessible tours in Athens.

You’ll have opportunities for great photo opportunities of the various ruins in Athens and you’ll visit several of the top attractions in Athens. Transportation is provided by a van with a wheelchair lift.

If you need help pushing a wheelchair, an assistant can be hired for a per hour charge.

Accessibility Description

The Half Day Athens Accessible Driving Tour has a 5 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it uses a wheelchair accessible van and wheelchair-friendly tour routes. The routes can be adjusted to meet the individual accessibility needs of the disabled visitor. Additionally, the tour guide can push a manual wheelchair user if necessary.

If you are arriving at the Piraeus cruise dock, you will take the wheelchair accessible Piraeus port shuttle (shown in the photo on the left) to the cruise terminal. Your tour guide will meet you at the cruise terminal exit (shown in the photo on the right).

A van with a wheelchair lift (shown in the photo on the left) will comfortable transport you into the city. The tour will follow a wheelchair accessible route by using curb cuts to avoid curbs and steps.

The Greek Parliament building and the Panathenaic Stadium (site of the first modern Olympics) are two of the sights that will be visited on this accessible Athens driving tour.

The Parthenon is perched on the Acropolis towering high overhead. Advanced notification will be made so that you can use the Acropolis wheelchair platform lift and elevator to reach the top.

Accessibility at the Acropolis Museum includes a wheelchair ramp and an elevator to get between the floors.

Tour duration: 5 hours
Cost: €690 for 1-2 people, €740 for 3-4 people, €790 for 5-6 people, €840 for 7-8 people.

* €20 off if booked as part of an accessible Athens travel package.

Entrance tickets: Not included. Some entrance tickets are free for disabled visitors if they have an ID card from their home country stating the percent of their disability. Otherwise 20€ per person for Acropolis and 5€ per person for Acropolis Museum.
NOTE: In order to use the special lift at the Acropolis, and to received discounted entrance tickets at the Acropolis, the Greek government requires that you bring your valid disabled ID/papers. Additionally you must also bring your mobility equipment (wheelchair, rollator, walker etc) to prove that you are in need of using the special elevator.
