Accessibility Description

The Pompeii & Amalfi Coast Accessible Tour has a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it has step-free routes throughout the tour, and it uses a wheelchair accessible van to get between the sites. Wheelchair users will be able to stay in their wheelchair for the entire tour.

It almost received a 5 Star Sage Accessibility Rating, but there is some uneven terrain in Pompeii. You can skip the rough parts of the tour if you would like.

The tour guide for your Pompeii & Amalfi Coast Accessible Tour will be holding a sign with your name waiting for you at the accessible Naples cruise terminal.

Transportation on your Amalfi Coast accessible tour will be provided by a car for groups of two people or less. Groups between three people and seven people will use the accessible van shown in the photos shown below.

Most tourists enter Pompeii using the uphill entrance covered in enormous cobblestones (shown in the photo on the left). Your wheelchair accessible Amalfi coast tour will use an accessible Pompeii entrance instead (shown in the photo on the right).

In order to meet the accessibility needs of all visitors, the Pompeii & Amalfi Coast Accessible Tour uses a variety of wheelchair ramps (shown on the left) and pavement (shown on the right) to take the most accessible path possible.

You will avoid the extremely non-wheelchair friendly paths that most tours take which involve stairs (shown in the photo on the left) and non-continuous sidewalks (shown in the photo on the right).

Your Amalfi Coast accessible tour will include a visit to the Sorrento main square which is covered in smooth pavement (shown in the photo on the left) and a stop at a wheelchair accessible viewpoint of the surrounding bay. What a view!

Wheelchair users will be rolling over the medium cobblestones with 4 star smoothness. Your Pompeii & Amalfi Coast Accessible Tour will include plenty of time to shop in the small boutiques.

Your accessible tour will include a drive along the Amalfi Coast to the town of Positano. Positano is a very steep town so your accessible Amalfi Coast tour will primarily view the town from the comfort of the vehicle. (Optional)
