Most tourists enter Pompeii using the uphill entrance covered in enormous cobblestones (shown in the photo on the left). Your Naples accessible guided tour will use an accessible Pompeii entrance instead (shown in the photo on the right).

In order to meet the accessibility needs of all visitors, the Pompeii & Vesuvius Special Tour for the Disabled uses a variety of wheelchair ramps (shown on the left) and pavement (shown on the right) to take the most accessible path possible.

You will avoid the extremely non-wheelchair friendly paths that most tours take which involve stairs (shown in the photo on the left) and non-continuous sidewalks (shown in the photo on the right).

Mt. Vesuvius is visible throughout the Naples and Pompeii region. It is located 8 km away from Pompeii and 7 km from Herculaneum. Your accessible Mt. Vesuvius Tour will allow you to see the entire region.

Most visitors have to park their cars and walk up the 900 meter uphill route to the crater rim.

The path is covered in rocks and is not wheelchair friendly. On this Mt. Vesuvius accessible touryou will have special permission to ride in a car up to the crater rim to see inside the crater and enjoy the view of the Bay of Naples region below.
