Gulf of Naples Accessible Cruise Excursion

This Naples accessible cruise excursion takes wheelchair accessible hydrofoil boats to visit two beautiful destinations on the Gulf of Naples. The Island of Capri is home to the town of Capri and spectacular limestone cliffs that rise out of the Mediterranean Sea.

The second destination is the town of Sorrento which is located on Italian mainland and has a charming city center that overlooks the Gulf of Naples below. The Gulf of Naples Accessible Cruise Excursion will visit both of them using accessible ferry transportation and accessible tour routes.

If you’d like to add Pompeii to this tour, you should choose the Pompeii, Sorrento, & Capri Handicapped Accessible Tour. The Capri Island Tour for the Disabled skips Sorrento and spends all day on the island of Capri.

Accessibility Description

The Gulf of Naples Accessible Cruise Excursion has a 3 Star Sage Accessibility Rating because it has step-free routes throughout the tour. Tour participants will encounter some some cobblestones in Sorrento and Capri, but wheelchair users should have little problem.

This tour did not receive a higher accessibility rating because wheelchair users will need to be able to transfer into a car. If you would like to stay in your wheelchair during the tour, you can choose one of the tours with a 4 Star Sage Accessibility Rating: the Naples & Sorrento Accessible Shore Excursion or the Pompeii & Amalfi Coast Accessible Tour.

The tour guide for your accessible Naples cruise excursion will be waiting for you at the accessible Naples cruise terminal holding a sign with your name.

After a short accessible walk/roll to the ferry terminal, your tour guide will help you in purchasing your ferry tickets to Capri.

There are multiple ferries (jetfoils) at the ferry dock. Your ferry to Capri will have a wheelchair ramp (shown in the photo on the left) and a space for wheelchair users onboard (shown in the photo on the right).

The Gulf of Naples Accessible Cruise Excursion includes a ride on the cable car from the Marina Grande to the town of Capri.   Although there are steps shown in the photo on the left, there is a lift and an electric ramp for wheelchair users. It also includes a private driving tour around the island and a visit to the town of Anacapri.

There are numerous hills on the island of Capri. The accessible Capri tour uses a taxi that is easy for wheelchair users to transfer into so that they can visit the town of Anacapri and drive around the island.

When walking and rolling in Capri, this accessible Naples cruise excursion takes the most wheelchair friendly routes around the island by avoiding severe cobblestones and steps.

When visiting Sorrento, your tour will include a visit to the main square which is covered in smooth pavement (shown in the photo on the left) as well as a stop at a wheelchair accessible viewpoint of the surrounding bay. What a view!

Wheelchair users in Sorrento will be rolling over the medium cobblestones with 4 star smoothness while visiting the “old town” part of the city. Your Gulf of Naples Accessible Cruise Excursion will include plenty of time to shop in the small boutiques.
